The IQAC of YBN University is committed to planning, guiding and monitoring the quality assurance, sustenance and enhancement activities of the University. In line with the vision and mission of the YBN University, the IQAC develops quality policies and standardization measures for the smooth functioning of the University. The IQAC has three subsidiary bodies:
“QUALITY IS NEVER AN ACCIDENT. IT IS ALWAYS THE RESULT OF INTELLIGENT EFFORT”
{JOHN RUSKIN}
"Quality assurance is a by-product of ongoing efforts to define the objectives of an institution, to have a work plan to achieve them and to specify the checks and balances to evaluate the degree to which each of the tasks is fulfilled."
IQAC operates through three specialized bodies, each with a focused mandate, working together to
build a culture of quality across the institution.
The role of the Director of the IQAC is crucial in ensuring the effective functioning of all the members. The Director of the IQAC may be a senior/competent person with experience and exposure in quality aspects. She/he
Secretarial assistance may be facilitated by the administration. It is essential that the Director may have sound knowledge about the computer, data management and its various functions such as usage for effective
communication.
The IQAC may derive major support from the already existing units and mechanisms that contribute to the quality enhancement functions. The operational features and functions are broad-based to facilitate institutions
towards academic excellence and institutions may adapt them to their specific needs.
"Our commitment is to build a culture where quality is not an inspection mechanism but a way of life — ingrained in every process, every programme, and every interaction at YBN University."
The IQAC functions as the central quality engine of YBN University, driving systemic improvement
across all operations.
The University submits the AQAR to NAAC by end of September every year. A functional IQAC and timely submission of AQAR are the Minimum Institutional Requirements (MIR) to volunteer for NAAC accreditation cycles.
During institutional visits, NAAC peer teams interact with IQACs to know the progress, functioning and quality sustenance initiatives. The MIS enables real-time data access and supports informed governance decisions.
The IQAC ensures that everything done in the University is carried out efficiently and effectively with high standards. It provides processes and modalities to collect data and information on various aspects of institutional functioning.
The IQAC maintains an exclusive section on the institutional website for NAAC documents, AQAR reports, Peer Team Reports, Certificate of Accreditation Outcomes, and regularly uploads activity reports.
The IQAC works towards a culture of quality, equity, and continuous improvement across all
institutional activities.
