About

Dr. Ruby Kumari earned her Doctorate (Ph.D.) degree from Vinoba Bhave University. She is currently serving as the Head of the Department of Political Science at YBN University.During her tenure, Dr. Kumari has been actively involved in numerous academic and administrative activities within the School of Arts & Humanities. In this capacity, she has served as an important member of the organizing committees of national ,international conferences and webinar.

She is a member of the Indian Political Science Association and the Global Leader Foundation. The Global Leader Foundation appointed her as the Ambassador of Higher Education for Ranchi, and she was honored for this achievement in New Delhi.

Dr Ruby Kumari has also received the Best Researcher Award from the Social Search Foundation in recognition of her academic contributions.

She is known for her strong leadership qualities, determination, courage, loyalty, and dedication to her profession. To date, she has published 07 research papers, one book, and one book chapter, making significant contributions to the field of academia and research.

Research Area

Primary Areas

Dr. Ruby Kumari’s research work has primarily focused on the area of women’s empowerment. She completed her Ph.D. on “Political and Social Dimensions of Rural Women’s Empowerment: A Special Reference to Sadar Block, Hazaribagh (2010–2015).”

Current Research Interests

As a research supervisor, Dr. Kumari has guided and encouraged research on contemporary political issues. The research undertaken by her scholars has particularly focused on topics such as the impact of caste on politics in Bihar and coalition politics in Jharkhand.

Through her academic and research contributions, Dr. Kumari has significantly enriched the study of political processes, social transformation, and democratic governance in India.
