About the Department
Department of Microbiology
The Department of Microbiology was established in 2017, has offering quality of B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. programmes in Microbiology. It has implemented a robust academic framework aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, specifically designed for Four-Year Undergraduate Programmes (FYUGP) starting from the 2023 academic session. This curriculum framework for the B.Sc. program in Microbiology is developed keeping in view of the student centric learning pedagogy, which is entirely outcome-oriented and curiosity driven. The curriculum framework focuses on pragmatist approach whereby practical application of theoretical concepts is taught with substantial coverage of practical and field-based studies. Our vision is to empower students with scientific temper, critical thinking, and social responsibility, enabling them to contribute effectively towards national development and a sustainable global future in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India.
