The Office of Student Welfare at YBN University is dedicated to ensuring that every student has access to the support, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive — academically, socially, and personally. Anti-Ragging Policy

YBN University maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy towards ragging in any form, anywhere on
campus.

🚨 Zero Tolerance — Ragging is a Criminal Offence

As per the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India directives and UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher
Educational Institutions, 2009 — ragging in any form is strictly prohibited and punishable under law. Any act of ragging shall
lead to immediate expulsion from the institution.

What Constitutes Ragging?

  • Any act that causes physical or psychological harm, or raises apprehension or fear in a fresher or junior student
  • Teasing, abusing or playing practical jokes on, or causing hurt to any student
  • Asking students to do any act or perform something which such student will not in the ordinary course willingly do
  • Exploiting, humiliating or harassing a student in any manner
  • Any form of collective act of ragging — including online and social media harassment
  • Forcing any student to consume alcohol, tobacco, or any substance

Student Code of Conduct

Students of YBN University are expected to uphold the values of integrity, respect, and responsibility
at all times.

✓ Expected Behaviour
  • Attend all classes, practicals, and examinations regularly and punctually
  • Maintain respect and courtesy towards faculty, staff, and fellow students
  • Carry your university identity card at all times on campus
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in classrooms, labs, and common areas
  • Follow dress code guidelines as specified by the respective departments
  • Attend mandatory Research Progress Review meetings as per schedule
  • Report any grievance through the official Student Grievance portal
  • Participate actively in co-curricular and extracurricular activities
  • Respect university property and infrastructure at all times
✗ Prohibited Conduct
  • Any form of ragging, bullying, or harassment of fellow students
  • Possession or consumption of alcohol, tobacco, or drugs on campus
  • Use of mobile phones in classrooms, labs, or examination halls
  • Damaging, defacing, or misusing university property or equipment
  • Organizing unauthorized gatherings, protests, or political activities on campus
  • Any form of cheating, plagiarism, or malpractice in examinations
  • Misbehaviour or disrespect towards faculty, administrative staff, or security
  • Unauthorized use of university systems, portals, or academic credentials
